Long Island Sound Chorus (LIS) is an "Award-Winning Chorus" made up of an extraordinary group of women who gather together in celebration of the art form known as barbershop music.
LIS is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International
We are located in Region 15, which includes: Long Island, New Jersey and Parts of NY state. Our chorus has been singing and performing 4-part a cappella barbershop harmony on the east end of Long Island for over 50 years. We are a friendly, supportive group of dynamic women singers. We are dedicated to musical and artistic excellence for ourselves and our community, achieved through individual commitment and passion. Our repertoire includes a mix of show tunes, patriotic songs, and gospel melodies, along with traditional barbershop standards.
CONTEST NEWSTHE LONG ISLAND SOUND CHORUS DID IT AGAIN, 1st place small chorus and 5th place overall!!!!! And a big congrats to Our Peggy for getting this years Harriette Walters Leadership award!
